Locum Tenens Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Pain Management

Kaiser Permanente Southwood Comprehensive Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide full‑time locum tenens coverage in its Pain Management department. This role supports a high‑volume outpatient practice and requires a provider who is confident, autonomous, and skilled in managing chronic and acute pain conditions within an integrated care environment.

Position Overview

• Role: Locum Tenens PA or NP – Pain Management
• Location: Kaiser Permanente Southwood Comprehensive MC, Jonesboro, GA
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Setting: Outpatient Pain Management
• Start: ASAP upon credentialing
• Duration: Ongoing need

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pain management evaluations
• Manage chronic and acute pain conditions
• Perform follow‑up visits and medication management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within Kaiser Permanente’s integrated model
• Document all encounters in the EMR accurately and timely
• Provide patient education and develop individualized care plans

Required Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
• Experience in Pain Management required
• Active Georgia license (PA or NP)
• Active DEA
• Strong EMR proficiency
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced outpatient setting
