General Information
Unit Specifics:
· Number of Beds : 8
· Patient Ratios : 1:2
· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Charge Nurse
· Type of equipment : Vigilance monitors, EV1000, CRRT-prismaflex, Alaris IV pumps, etc.
· Documentation system: Meditech
· Scheduling requirements: every other weekend (Fri. & Sat night shift) (Sat. and Sun. dayshift)
· Floating policy: Could be floated to like units (same patient:nurse ratios)
· Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, courteous and listens, involves patient
Hospital Specifics-
· Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set: Able to care for immediate post-operative open heart patients, post STEMI patient, Impella patients, IABP patients, CCRT patients, vented patients, CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA, VATS, TAVR patients
Must have: BLS, ACLS, CVICU experience
Advanced skills needed: Critical Care
Procedures performed on unit: Open chest arrest, central line placement, chest tube placement, dialysis line placement
Certifications Required: None
Dress Code: (Required uniform)
· Navy blue scrubs. Only black, grey, or white under shifts
