Required Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: 1 year
• Licensure:
  • Active Alaska Physical Therapist License (required at submission)
• Certifications:
  • BLS (required)
• Charting Experience:
  • Epic (required)
• References:
  • Minimum 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Vaccination Requirement:
  • Hepatitis B vaccine only (titers or declinations not accepted)

Required Skills & Clinical Competencies

Candidates must meet required skills per unit description. Strong candidates will demonstrate experience across multiple care settings and diagnoses, including but not limited to:

• Care Settings:
  • Outpatient Clinic
  • Acute Care
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
  • Long-Term Care
• Patient Populations:
  • Adults and Geriatrics
  • Preferred (not required): Pediatrics and Adolescents
• Clinical Skills (Required/Expected):
  • Orthopedics, Neurology, Geriatrics, Rehabilitation
  • Acute Care and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation
  • Gait training, transfers, mobility, balance
  • Pain assessment and management
  • Strength testing and vital sign monitoring
  • Discharge planning and patient/family education
  • Use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment
  • Development and progression of individualized plans of care
• Preferred Skill:
  • Scheduling patient appointments

Housing & Transportation (Facility-Provided)

• Housing:
  • 1-bedroom apartment provided
  • Available 72 hours before start and 24 hours after contract end
  • Pets not allowed
  • Additional occupants require facility approval
  • Cleaning required upon departure or fees apply
• Vehicle:
  • Facility-provided or rental vehicle
  • Available during contract dates only
  • 30-mile radius restriction
  • Traveler must provide valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Personal insurance must include rental car coverage
  • Tire chains available at additional cost
  • Vehicle must be returned clean and with a full tank
