Description
NICU Registered Nurse – Level II (12-Hour PM Shifts)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to support a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role is ideal for a nurse who is comfortable caring for higher-acuity newborns and working independently in a small-unit environment where patient needs and acuity can change quickly.
Schedule and Requirements
12-hour PM shifts
Required to work every other weekend and holiday
No local candidates accepted (must live more than 50 miles from the facility)
Minimum of 3 years of RN experience required
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar Level II NICU setting
Manager interview will occur after clinical and may delay an offer by at least 24 hours
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in a Level II NICU setting
Monitor and manage infants based on acuity and clinical condition
Collaborate closely with neonatologists and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with unit protocols and safety standards
Support families through education and communication regarding infant care
Unit Details
Level II NICU with 4 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratios are based on infant acuity and may vary
Small-unit environment requiring strong clinical judgment and adaptability
Certifications and Skills
NRP required
STABLE required
Dysrhythmia exam required at orientation (study guide available)
FHM experience preferred but not required
