Senior Pharmacy Technician
📍 Seaside, OR
🕒 Full-Time / Part-Time | Day Shift
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to support acute care pharmacy operations. This role involves preparing and dispensing oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders, and maintaining automated dispensing systems. The ideal candidate has advanced pharmacy knowledge and experience in multiple specialty areas.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense unit-dose and stock medications
- Fill oral and IV medications accurately and efficiently
- Triage and prioritize patient medication orders
- Maintain automated dispensing systems (ADS)
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies and safety standards
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists and clinical staff
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License (upon hire)
- One of the following:
- 2+ years (4,160+ hours) of pharmacy experience in an integrated health system with PTCB certification
- 3+ years (6,240+ hours) of hospital pharmacy experience without PTCB certification
- Experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs)
- Experience using EHR systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
- Advanced PTCB certifications (e.g., CSPT, CPhT-Adv, Medication History, Controlled Substances)
- Specialty certification such as ACPE-approved sterile compounding

Maybe the only thing which truly isn’t a problem is the dialect, but we got through that as well.
