Registered Nurse – Float Pool (PCU / MS-Tele) Nights

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a dedicated Float Pool position supporting PCU and MS/Telemetry units throughout the hospital. This role is ideal for adaptable nurses who are comfortable floating between acuity levels and providing high-quality care where staffing needs are greatest.

Schedule and Requirements
12-hour night shifts
Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
No local candidates accepted
Minimum of 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
Prior travel experience preferred
Dysrhythmia exam required at orientation (study guide available)

Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, effective nursing care across PCU and MS/Telemetry units
Adapt quickly to varying patient acuity levels and unit workflows
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and protocols
Support patient safety and quality initiatives across assigned units

Unit Details
Dedicated float pool supporting St. Rita’s PCU and MS/Telemetry units
Staffing assignments are assessed each shift based on hospital needs
Nurses may spend the majority of time in MS/Telemetry with occasional PCU assignments
Ventilator experience preferred but not required
Typical ratios:
PCU 1:3–4
MS/Telemetry 1:4–5

Certifications and Skills
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
Comfortable working nights and floating between units
Navy blue scrubs required
