PAY: $33.00 – $52.80/hour (commensurate with experience)
SIGN-ON BONUS: Up to $20,000
REGISTERED NURSE – BEHAVIORAL HEALTH (NIGHTS)

Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Rotating Weekends
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse provides high-quality psychiatric nursing care to adult patients in an acute behavioral health setting. This role emphasizes patient advocacy, therapeutic engagement, medication education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Nurses in this unit actively participate in structured group therapies and play a critical role in patient stabilization, education, and discharge planning.
SHIFT DETAILS
- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Rotating weekends required
- Scheduled off at least three holidays per year
- Occasional overtime based on unit needs
COMPENSATION & INCENTIVES
- Competitive hourly pay: $33.00 – $52.80/hour
- Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 (based on experience and eligibility)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adult behavioral health patients
- Facilitate and support therapeutic group activities, including:
- Symptom management
- Medication education
- Anger and stress management
- Relaxation techniques
- Stress management and healthy lifestyle education
- Discharge planning
- Act as a patient advocate while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care
- Administer and manage medications safely and accurately
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care needs
- Utilize clinical equipment and technology competently
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
Common Diagnoses Include:
Depressive Disorders, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Anxiety Disorders
REQUIREMENTS
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Must hold licensure in state of permanent residency
- American Heart Association BLS certification required
