Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health (Nights) Opportunity – Maryland
Direct Hire | Full-Time | Night Shift
Position Overview
- Seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality psychiatric care in an acute behavioral health setting
- Focus on adult patient populations with a wide range of behavioral health diagnoses
- Emphasizes patient advocacy, therapeutic engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Actively participates in group therapy sessions and supports patient stabilization, education, and discharge planning
Shift Details
- Full-Time, 12-hour night shifts
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Rotating weekends required
- Scheduled off at least three holidays per year
- Occasional overtime as needed
Compensation & Incentives
- Competitive hourly pay ($33.00 – $52.80/hour based on experience)
- Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus (based on experience and eligibility)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adult behavioral health patients
- Facilitate and support therapeutic group activities, including symptom management, medication education, and stress reduction techniques
- Administer and manage medications safely and accurately
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, coping strategies, and self-care
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care
- Act as a patient advocate while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient outcomes
- Utilize clinical equipment and technology safely and effectively
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of permanent residency
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
- Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
