Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Travel Contract Job
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Assignment: 13-week travel contract
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: None
On-Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: May float within clinical competence to units or facilities within 35 miles
Approved RTO: 4/17–4/20

 

 

About the Role
A pediatric-focused imaging department in the Aurora/Denver area is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment. This role requires strong PET and general nuclear medicine experience, as well as comfort working with pediatric patients across a wide age range.

 

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET procedures according to department protocols
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
Provide patient care and IV administration for pediatric patients
Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care
Maintain accurate documentation and follow radiation safety standards
Float as needed within clinical competence

 

Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program (NMTCB or ARRT pathway)
Current NMTCB or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine
BLS certification required
Minimum 3 years of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
PET and General Nuclear Medicine experience required
Pediatric Nuclear Medicine experience required
Pediatric IV experience required (newborn through young adult populations)
Experience with Siemens SPECT and PET scanners
Experience with FDG PET body and brain imaging
Familiarity with procedures including MIBG, MAG3 renogram, sentinel lymph node studies, HIDA, gastric emptying studies, thyroid scans, lung perfusion, brain death studies, seizure SPECT, and radiotherapy procedures including I-131

 

Additional Notes
No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
Influenza vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions permitted per facility policy
