Description

Position Summary

Role: Certified Orthopedic Tech (OTC)
Setting: Outpatient Clinic (Primary), with possible rare float to other clinics.
Core Duties: Casting, splinting, bracing. This is not an OR or Surgical Tech role.
Patient Volume: Likely high-volume outpatient orthopedics (fracture care, post-op, sports injuries).

Critical Requirements

Certification: MUST hold the OTC certification from the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Orthopedic Technology). This is non-negotiable.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience. Outpatient experience is specifically required.
Float: Must be willing to float, though it's emphasized as highly unlikely from the home clinic (Westlake Village). Possible float sites are in Tarzana and Mission Hills.

Contract Details

Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
Start Date: ASAP (Target: 03/02/2026)
Weekends/On-Call: None required.
Traveler Status: Open to "true travelers" (those who meet travel distance requirements). Locals are also accepted at local pay
First-Timers: Accepted, which is good for new travelers with solid experience.

Facility & Tech

Facility Type: Outpatient Facility (likely part of a larger hospital network).
Charting System: EPIC – highly desirable and common EHR experience.
