What You’ll Do

Clinical Practice & Patient Outcomes

• Lead the nursing process from assessment through evaluation to deliver individualized, evidence-based care
• Build strong, therapeutic relationships with patients and families while respecting cultural values and care goals
• Apply current clinical standards and best practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Teamwork & Collaboration

• Foster a safe, respectful, and collaborative care environment
• Support team engagement and retention by contributing positively to unit culture
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research efforts, and shared governance activities

Professional Growth & Mentorship

• Maintain clinical excellence through ongoing education and competency assessments
• Serve as a mentor and resource for fellow nurses and interdisciplinary team members

Evidence-Based Practice & Quality Improvement

• Integrate evidence-based practices into daily patient care
• Contribute to decisions impacting clinical tools, workflows, and patient safety initiatives
• Support continuous improvement through data collection and research participation

Care Planning & Resource Management

• Proactively plan patient care across the continuum
• Assist in developing protocols that improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions
• Ensure efficient and effective use of time, staff, and resources

What You Bring

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program — Required
• BSN from an accredited institution — Preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) — Required
• BLS (AHA) — Required
• ACLS — Required
• National specialty certification — Preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of recent Med-Surg experience — Required
• Experience with computer-based documentation — Required
• Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems — Preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic clinical technology
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Excellent critical thinking, time management, and evidence-based decision-making skills
