Job Description: Travel MRI Technologist

Facility: HRMC, Arizona Schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM Assignment Type: Travel Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years of recent MRI experience

Position Summary

The MRI Technologist performs high‑quality MRI imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. This role supports patient care by ensuring safe imaging practices, accurate documentation, and effective communication with the care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans following departmental protocols and safety standards
• Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain necessary histories
• Position patients and operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images
• Monitor patients for safety and comfort throughout the procedure
• Maintain accurate documentation within the facility’s charting system
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure optimal workflow
• Follow all MRI safety guidelines, including screening for contraindications
• Assist with room turnover, equipment checks, and daily QA procedures

Shift Details

• Start Time: 6:30 AM
• End Time: 5:00 PM
• Four 10‑hour shifts or similar schedule as assigned by the department

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of MRI experience
• ARRT (MR) Registry required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Experience with GE MRI scanners required
• ARRT (R) acceptable only if fully cross‑trained and registered in MRI
• Travel experience preferred but not required
