Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an acute care Endoscopy unit. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, including pre-operative preparation, Phase I & II recovery, and patient education. The RN will work collaboratively with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-operative assessments and patient preparation
• Provide Phase I and Phase II recovery care
• Initiate and manage IV insertions
• Monitor patients post-procedure and respond to changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery

Skills:

• Pre-operative patient assessment and preparation
• Phase I & Phase II recovery care
• IV insertion and venous access management
• Post-procedure monitoring and patient safety
• Endoscopy nursing care
• Patient education and discharge instructions
• Acute care nursing skills

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required to submit)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• BLS certification (required)
