Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) team in Douglasville, GA. In this role, you will provide specialized, high-acuity care to patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neurological patients.
• Perform detailed neurological assessments and monitor changes in patient status.
• Manage ventilators, IV drips, and critical care equipment.
• Administer medications, including vasoactive and sedation infusions.
• Monitor intracranial pressure (ICP) and other advanced neurological parameters.
• Assist with emergency procedures and resuscitation.
• Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.

Day Shift Focus

• Full neurological assessments
• Coordination with physicians and care teams
• Admissions, discharges, and patient education
• Procedures and treatment administration

Night Shift Focus

• Continuous neurological monitoring
• Medication administration and drip management
• Emergency response and stabilization
• Documentation and care coordination

Minimum Requirements

• Active Georgia RN license or Compact license
• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Neuro ICU, ICU, or critical care experience preferred
