Position Overview

- Unit: Behavioral Health Geriatric
- Patient Population: Geriatric (50+)
- Number of Beds: 24
- Patient Ratio: 1:7
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: 24
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: None
- EHR System: Medhost
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of experience in dementia patient care or behavioral health nursing
- Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) or equivalent behavioral health certification
- Experience working with dementia patients, especially those with behavioral disturbances
Additional Information
- Must have experience with dementia patients
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
- Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to assignment start
- Dress Code: Solid color scrubs; facial piercings are not allowed
- Personality Fit: Calm demeanor and ability to work well with others
