A hospital in Elmhurst is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Tech for a 13-week travel contract. This role is best suited for a technologist who is confident in both IR and peripheral vascular procedures and already has travel experience, as the team is looking for someone who can step in and function independently.

Assignment Details
Location: Elmhurst, IL
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start: Within 2–3 weeks
Schedule: 10-hour day shifts
Area: Radiology / Interventional Radiology
Positions: 1

Call & Scheduling
• On-call required for IR and vascular cases
• Approximately 10–12 call days per month
• Must be able to report within 30 minutes when on call
• Occasional weekends only if on call

Clinical Responsibilities
• Assist with Interventional Radiology and Peripheral Vascular procedures
• Support cases including angiography, angioplasty, thrombolysis, stent placement, embolization, and pulmonary embolism (PE) interventions
• Scrub and circulate procedures
• Prepare sterile trays, equipment, and vascular access supplies
• Maintain strict sterile technique and radiation safety practices
• Work closely with physicians and nursing staff during procedures
• Document procedures and ensure accurate imaging workflow

Requirements
• Minimum 2+ years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Experience in IR, peripheral vascular, and vascular interventions including pulmonary embolism (PE) cases
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• Active Illinois license required
• BLS (CPR) required
• ACLS required

• Able to take call and respond quickly
• Strong procedural knowledge and ability to work independently
