Overview
The Interim Chief Nursing Officer provides executive leadership for nursing services during a transitional period, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards.
  • Lead workforce management, including staffing, retention, and performance oversight.
  • Partner with executive and medical leadership to support organizational goals.
  • Drive quality improvement, patient experience, and clinical outcomes initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license; BSN required, MSN or higher preferred.
  • Proven executive nursing leadership experience (CNO/ACNO or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality, and patient safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and stabilize operations in transitional settings.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
