Description
A facility in Ithaca is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a weekend-only travel contract. This role is a great fit for an MRI Tech who is confident working independently, enjoys a consistent schedule, and is comfortable in a hospital imaging environment.
Assignment Details
Location: Ithaca, NY
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3x12s
Shift: Weekends only
Area: Radiology / MRI
Responsibilities
• Perform MRI studies in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Ensure patient safety and screening for MRI compatibility
• Operate MRI equipment and maintain image quality standards
• Start IVs and administer contrast when required
• Maintain accurate documentation and PACS workflow
• Follow strict safety and infection control procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and imaging staff
Requirements
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of MRI experience preferred
• Experience working in a hospital setting preferred
• Ability to work weekends consistently
Ideal Candidate
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced imaging department
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Able to work independently and manage workflow efficiently
