Description

They do not perform patient care and this usually falls under an allied role. They mainly perform calibrations and mathematical assessments to assist the dosimetrist.

REQUIRED: ABR board certified, current CA radiation physics license
 

REQUIRED: Varian machines/software(Truebeam/IX/Aria/Eclipse), familiarity with Sun Nuclear


No call required. Position is M-F.


Under the direction of the Director of Physics, the Radiation Physicist participates in all aspects of the operations of the
physics services in Radiation Therapy departments including treatment machine commissioning and acceptance testing,
calibration and maintenance of dosimetry and imaging systems, implementing treatment procedures and providing
physics consultations in direct patient care activities. Responsible for establishing and maintaining quality assurance,
quality control and safety programs in accordance with the standards as determined by regulatory agencies. Responsible
for developing, implementing or revising safety or patient care policies and procedures, and contribute to performance
improvement activities. Position requires the ability to travel to any site within the system on an as needed basis.
Demonstrates age-specific care and excellent problem-solving skills.
