Beds: 8-10 beds (opening 11/3)

Experience: 2 full years of ER experience (any trauma level)

First-time traveler: Yes

Patient Ratios: 1:4

Required Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, Advanced NRP, NIHSS, TNCC
Skills required
Strong ED experience, strong customer service, ventilator class (BiPAP) will be provided during on boarding, knowledge of medication administration (mix own meds), chest tubes, central lines, strong IV skills

Charting System/Equipment: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis

Floating: No floating

Patient Types: New location, small acute care location. Neonates – Geriatrics, 25% Peds, Walk-in traumas, all types of patients ranging from cardiac, neuro, GI, respiratory, psych, frequent drop off GSWs Will have to provide care to intubated patients will provide training for ventilator and bipap as there are no RT’s onsite, RN’s manage vent/bipap Fast track 1:6 team nurse (RN, NP) Will be required to do charge (facility will train if needed) Support on the Unit: Charge nurse ED MD ER Tech Front Desk EST/Phlebotomy: Assist draw blood, but majority is RN draw No RT- RN’s will manage Vents No Pharm- will mix your own meds under the supervision of pharmacy via video conference Orientation: 1 hospital orientation 1 full day with OCED unit educator 8h respiratory class 1 full day on the unit Traveler Telemetry Competency Required Scheduling: Weekend rotation: EOW Shifts: 12 hrs-Hire for a range Days: 0700 Mids/Eves: 1100, 1300 NOC: 1500, 1900 6-week schedules Holiday Expectations: Negotiable RTO – Up to 5 days Other notes or things you want us to check/verify?
