Emergency / Urgent Care PA – Walnut Creek Medical Center, CA

Facility: Walnut Creek Medical Center
Providers Needed: 1 PA
Patient Population: All ages

Shift:

• 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Patient Volume:

• Maximum 4 patients per hour (typically lower)

Practice Setting:

• Emergency Medicine / Urgent Care–style coverage
• Moderate to low acuity

Scope of Practice / Procedures:

• Laceration repair
• Abscess incision & drainage
• Toenail removal
• Subungual hematoma evacuation
• Foreign body removal
• Hemorrhoid thrombosis management
• Epistaxis (nosebleed) control
• Minor burn management
• Local anesthesia and nerve blocks
• Simple reductions (e.g., nursemaid’s elbow, finger dislocations)

Requirements:

• Active CA PA license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (required)
• Prior EM or UC experience preferred
• Comfortable seeing all ages
