Description

RN Critical Care Float

Hours: 36 or 48 Hours Guaranteed

Experience: Minimum 1 year (first-time travelers accepted)

Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH

Unit & Skills Requirements:

Experience with Med-Surg, Med-Surg Tele, PCU, ICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU diagnoses
Primary floating: ICU; may also float to Med-Surg, Med-Surg Tele, PCU, ICU units as needed

Patient Ratios:

ICU: 1:2–3
PCU: 1:4–5
Med-Surg / Med-Surg Tele: 1:5–6

Unit Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR

Return-to-Office (RTO): Max 7 days per contract
RTO Blackout Dates: Spring Break (April 4–12)

Schedule: Every other weekend (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract)
Floating: Required
Call Requirements: None

Travel Experience: Not required
Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
