NYU Orthopedic Hospital ? 301 E 17th St, Manhattan
NYU Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist for an 8-week travel assignment. This role provides full-time coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00am?4:00pm (5x8s) and offers the opportunity to work with advanced MRI technology in a specialty-focused orthopedic environment. Please be aware the traveler may be asked to stay sometimes to accommodate inpatient scans. Additionally, weekends are not required. The target start date for this position is for late February, specifically, February 23, 2026.
The MRI Technologist will support our imaging services by performing high-quality scans, ensuring patient comfort, and collaborating closely with radiologists and clinical staff. NYU prefers candidates to have experience with cardiac exams as most of our scans are cardiac imaging. The candidate will be scanning both inpatients and outpatients.

Required Licenses & Certifications
- NYS Radiologic Technologist License
- ARRT (MR)
- BLS
- IV Certification (must be in hand at start; not the same as venipuncture certification)
Required Skills
- Cardiovascular: MR Cardiac with/without contrast
- Musculoskeletal: Foot, Hand, Hip/Bony Pelvis, Knee, Lower Extremity Long Bones, Shoulder, Sternum, TMJ (with/without contrast), Upper Extremity Long Bones
- Professional Skills: Preparation/administration of contrast media, Starting peripheral IVs
