Description
Facility Name: Valley View Hospital
Title: Endoscopy / GI Tech
Location: Glenwood Springs, CO
Position Type: 13 Weeks (40 Hours Guaranteed)
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10-Hour Shifts with Rotating Call
Weekly Pay Package: $2,046 Gross (Taxable Amount – $800 | Non-Taxable Stipend – $1,246)
Job Description:
• Certifications:
– BLS (AHA Required)
– Active CO DORA Surgical Tech Registration (Required)
– Flu Vaccine (Required)
– Highly Preferred:
– SGNA Associates and/or Advanced Associates Program
– IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER)
• Experience:
– Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy/GI Tech experience required
– Advanced Endoscopy case experience required (ERCP, complex GI procedures)
• Facility Details:
– Valley View Hospital (50–149 beds)
– Only Endoscopy Department on the Western Slope of Colorado
• Key Responsibilities:
– Assist physicians and nursing staff during GI procedures including biopsies, polypectomy, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations
– Disinfect, process, and troubleshoot endoscopic equipment
– Prepare and stock procedure rooms with supplies and equipment
– Assist with patient transport, ambulation, and dressing as directed
– Apply EKG monitors, BP cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to procedures
• EMR: Meditech
• Call Requirements: Rotating call with pager ($3/hr on-call rate)
• Overtime: Paid after 40 hours (All-inclusive rate + $10)
• Holidays: Required if during assignment
• Radius Rule: Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
