Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PICU
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
Charting System: EPIC
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The RN will provide critical care to pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support. The nurse may float to Pediatrics and NICU based on patient needs and skill set, with traveler confirmation prior to floating.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in PICU
• Monitor patients using telemetry and Medtronic pacemakers
• Manage ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of PICU critical care experience required
• At least 1 year of cardiac experience strongly preferred
• Experience with vents, telemetry, pacemakers, BIPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and trachs required
• BLS and PALS required; NRP preferred
• First-time travelers not accepted
Unit Details:
• Primary Unit: PICU (19 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 1:2+
• Floating required to Pediatrics and NICU as needed
