Description
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years LDRP experience preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
- Must be comfortable floating between units
- Must have reliable personal vehicle for assignment
- First-time travelers accepted
Schedule & Work Expectations
- No on-call required
- Every other weekend required
- No block scheduling
- 48 hours not approved
- Floating may occur between units and facilities based on patient care needs
Patient Ratios (AWHONN Standards)
- Active Labor: 1:1
- Postpartum: 1:3
Floating Requirements
Travelers may float to:
- Milwaukie
- Newberg
- Portland
- Hood River
- Willamette Falls
- Seaside
- Saint Vincent
Seaside Floating Incentive:
- +$5/hr for hours worked at Seaside
- IRS mileage reimbursement
- Hotel provided for consecutive shifts
- Advance notice provided when possible
