Description

Position Summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist supports cardiologists and electrophysiologists in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease, as well as cardiac arrhythmias. This role provides scrub assistance and technical expertise for a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures in both the Cath and EP Labs.

Technologists in this role care for patients undergoing procedures such as PTCA, stent placement, IABP insertion, EP device implantation, and cardiac ablations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide scrub assistance for diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular and peripheral procedures.
  • Support complex interventional cases including PCI, CTOs, structural heart procedures, and hemodynamic support systems.
  • Assist with EP procedures including EP studies, mapping, ablations, PVI, pacemakers, ICDs, and Micra implants.
  • Operate and troubleshoot Cath/EP imaging and mapping equipment.
  • Maintain patient safety, regulatory compliance, and procedural efficiency.

  • Siemens (Artis Z, Artis Q, ICONO)
  • IVUS: Volcano/Philips
  • Boston Scientific systems

EP Lab:

  • Carto
  • Farapulse / Farawave
  • ESI
  • Medtronic pacemakers
  • Abbott/St. Jude pacemakers

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of a CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, anatomy, physiology, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
  • ARRT required
  • Must have scrub experience
  • Must have EP experience
  • ACLS/PALS per contract requirements
  • Current CPR
  • TB screening (as applicable)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older

Shift Details:

  • Shift Options: 40 hrs
    • 4×10‑hour shifts or
    • 2×8‑hour shifts + 2×12‑hour shifts
  • Scheduling Window:
    • Multiple shifts available
  • Call Requirements:
    • Weeknights: 2–3 call shifts (Mon–Thu)
    • Weekends: Approximately every 5th weekend
