Description
We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Direct Access Unit (CDAc). This unit provides moderate-intensity cardiovascular care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, post-procedure care, and heart failure management.
The department includes:
- 6 cardiac observation beds
- 1 infusion room
- Ambulatory cardiology services
You will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing colleagues to deliver coordinated, high-quality cardiovascular care.
Responsibilities
- Provide cardiac monitoring and telemetry care
- Manage post-cardiology procedure patients
- Care for heart failure patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments and documentation
- Administer medications and IV therapies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN License (Required at submission)
- Strong Telemetry Experience (Required)
- Cardiology Experience (Preferred/Highly Recommended)
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) – Required
- Flu Vaccine – Required
Shift Details
- 12-hour rotating shifts:
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Typically rotate every two weeks (as needed)
- Every other Friday night OR every third Saturday required
- Unit hours:
- Open 24 hours (Mon–Sat)
- Closed Saturdays at 3:00 PM, reopens Monday at 7:00 AM
- Closed on hospital-observed holidays
