Description
Job Summary:
- Emergency Department (ED) RNs must be prepared to care for patients during critical and urgent situations.
- ED RNs provide specialized and innovative emergency care services.
- ED RNs handle a wide range of emergency situations for patients of all ages.
- Emergency Department nurses are trained to manage various trauma cases.
- Trauma situations often require quick thinking and decisive action.
- Ideal ED RNs can rapidly and accurately assess incoming patients.
- ED RNs evaluate both physical and mental health conditions.
- ED RNs prioritize patient injuries and medical needs effectively.
Comments:
- Busy unit environment.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6.
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
- Every other weekend is required.
- 3 out of 6 holidays are required.
- NOR: No on-call required.
- Float requirements are within the facility.
- Floating is limited to like units.
