JOB DESCRIPTION
Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN)
Direct Hire | Full-Time | On-Call Required
A high-performing, community-focused healthcare organization in the coastal Maryland/Delaware region is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join its cardiovascular services team. This permanent, full-time role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced, highly specialized clinical environment.
The Cath Lab RN provides patient-centered care throughout the procedural continuum while practicing in accordance with ANA Standards and the Nursing Process.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Permanent, full-time role
- Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting
- Procedural and interventional cardiac care
- On-call responsibilities required
- Team-based, high-acuity clinical environment
SHIFT DETAILS
- Day, evening, night, or rotating shifts per departmental policy
- Weekend coverage required based on unit needs
- On-call rotation required
- Scheduled off at least three holidays per year
- Occasional overtime may be required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for cardiac patients
- Act as a patient advocate throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Provide direct nursing care and patient education before, during, and after procedures
- Safely administer medications and treatments as required
- Utilize cardiac and procedural equipment and technology competently
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal outcomes
REQUIREMENTS
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of permanent residency
- American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- Critical Care experience preferred
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation
