📍 Location: Marietta, Georgia
🕒 Shift: Night Shifts Available
💼 Position: Full-Time
💰 Pay Rate: $33 – $59/hour (based on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team in Marietta, GA. In this role, you will provide specialized, high-acuity care to patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and those with critical cardiovascular conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac and post-operative cardiovascular patients.
- Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and vital signs.
- Manage ventilators, IV drips, and advanced cardiac support equipment.
- Administer medications, including vasoactive and antiarrhythmic infusions.
- Assist with post-operative care for open-heart and vascular surgery patients.
- Monitor chest tubes, arterial lines, and central lines.
- Respond to emergencies, including codes and rapid response situations.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Day Shift Focus
- Post-operative assessments and care
- Coordination with physicians and care teams
- Admissions, discharges, and patient education
- Procedures and treatment administration
Night Shift Focus
- Continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring
- Medication administration and drip management
- Emergency response and patient stabilization
- Documentation and care coordination
Minimum Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license or Compact license
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- CVICU, ICU, or critical care experience preferred
