Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Position Overview

Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a rehabilitation unit specializing in medical/surgical care. The role involves working with adult patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit: Rehab (Med/Surg)
• Floors: 1, 2, and Garden/Lower Level
• Number of Beds: 81 private rooms
• Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)
• Patient Ratios: Approx. 1:6-7 during the day, 1:8 at night
• Each nurse is supported by a dedicated tech
• Float Requirements: Must float within 5 units (Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury)
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Epic

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in Missouri
• BLS (CPR) Certification
• IV Certification prior to submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Rehab/Med-Surg)
• Must comply with facility influenza vaccination policy or approved exemption (masking required during flu season)

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
• Flexible, collaborative, and positive demeanor

• Scrub Color: Black scrubs (ID badge provided by agency must be worn)
• Reporting Time: 6:30 PM
• Masking required November 1 through March 31 during flu season unless exempted
