Description
Years of Experience:
- 5 years in PEDS ED/PICU Level IV NICU (must have at least 1 year of each)
plus at least 3 years of neonatal/peds transport experience within the last 5 years
Required Licensure Certifications: WA state license, BLS, PALS, NRP; TNCC and STABLE are preferred
Skills required:
supports interhospital transport via ground or air, airway management, vasoactive drips/infusion, non-invasive ventilation (Bipap/HFNC), respiratory inhaled medication administration, IV/IO access, etc. Consider first-time Traveler? yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Pediatric and Neonatal patients; common diagnosis included HIE, ppHN, asthma, respiratory illness, sepsis, DKA, other metabolic disorders, trauma (accidental and non-accidental), ingestions, congenital heart defects, cancer, NEC, etc.
Technology/Equipment:
Phillips monitor, Hamilton ventilator, Braun and Baxter IV pumps, Tecotherm, Zoll defib, TXP, Cross Vent, Zoll emsCHARTS, EPIC, Stryker gurney, transport isolette, ambulance and aircraft equipment (safety day training will be a part of orientation)
Floating: when not transporting, will help in units where there is a need; may
