Description

***PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE RN MUST PASS THE DYS EXAM. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS. PLEASE NOTE IT’S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET TWO ATTEMPTS. A SCREENSHOT SHOWING THE NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS IS ALSO REQUIRED. ***If your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for 6 months with CommonSpirit AZ and Sacramento Region.

Unit: GI-IR Hybrid
Schedule: 10-hour shifts – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday + Required Call
If daily case volume does not support 10 hours, RN may float to other units based on skillset (GI, IR, ICU, ER).

Call Requirements:

GI Call Coverage:
- Mon–Fri: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- Sat–Sun: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM (25-hour call)
One holiday required during contract (if applicable)

Job Duties:

GI:

Primarily circulating
Strong preference for candidates who can also tech GI cases
No pre-op or recovery required

IR:

Circulating
Procedural sedation
No pre-op or recovery required

Required Certifications:

BLS
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS
Procedural Sedation Certified (airway management) – must obtain within hiring window (provided during orientation)

Experience Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience required
IR-focused candidates must have 1 year IR, ICU, or ER experience
Strong preference for GI tech experience
GI skillset highly preferred, but strong IR-only candidates considered
