Description
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience required
First-time travelers accepted
Patient Population:
Neonates, Adults, Geriatrics
Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- RRT or CRTT
- CRT must have critical care skills/experience and 5+ years of therapist experience
- Flu vaccine required. Medical and religious exemptions only.
Required Clinical Skills:
- ABG interpretation
- CPAP / Nasal CPAP / BiPAP
- Flow-by
- Troubleshooting high pressure alarms
- Weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Trach collar management
- High flow nasal cannula
- Airway management
Systems/Technology Experience:
- Epic (required)
- Pyxis
Work Setting Requirements:
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- May float to additional campus (Piedmont Augusta Summerville – 3 miles away)
- Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
- No call requirements
Scheduling & Time Off:
- Maximum RTO: 7 days
- RTO Blackout Dates: April 4–12 (Spring Break)
Holiday Requirements:
- 1 major holiday in assignment → must work 1
- 2 major holidays → must work both
- 3 major holidays → must work 2
Major holidays include:
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day
Additional Information:
- Scrub color: Pewter gray
- Full compliance required prior to start; non-compliance results in a 2-week start delay due to bi-weekly orientation
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Non-billable orientation hours determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment; 10 hours for 10-week assignment)
