Job Title: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Cath Lab Tech)

Location: Mesquite, TX

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Days (06:30 – 15:00) | Flexible Schedule

On-Call: High Frequency (12–15 days per month + every other weekend)

Job Summary

A facility in Mesquite, TX is seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technician to support cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures. This is a dual-site role requiring the technician to float between our Mesquite and Farmers Branch facilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures, managing complex imaging equipment, and maintaining a high level of readiness for emergency call-backs.

Key Responsibilities

Procedure Assistance: Scrub-in for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, and pacemaker insertions.
Imaging & Technical Ops: Operate radiographic equipment and hemodynamic monitoring systems; Interventional Radiology (IR) experience is highly preferred.
Patient Safety: Ensure sterile field integrity and monitor patient vitals during invasive procedures.
Emergency Response: Provide essential support during STEMI or other cardiac emergencies, particularly during assigned on-call hours.
Documentation: Utilize Epic for procedure logging and patient charting.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience. Candidates with combined Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience are preferred.
Licensure/Certification: * ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- ACLS & BLS (AHA)
Technical Skills: Proficiency in sterile scrubbing, hemodynamic monitoring, and Epic EMR.

Assignment Details & Expectations

Floating: Mandatory floating between Dallas Regional Medical Center (Mesquite) and Dallas Medical Center (Farmers Branch).
On-Call Requirement: This position has a heavy call burden. Expect 12 to 15 days of call per month, including every other weekend.
- Call Hours: M-F (15:00 – 06:30); Weekends (24-hour coverage).
COVID-19: Must be comfortable working with COVID-positive patients.
Scrubs: Any color is permitted; however, hospital-laundered scrubs are also provided for procedural areas.
