ER RN – Travel Contract Job
Location: Plattsburgh, New York
Assignment Length: Up to 32 weeks
Start Date: Must be able to start on or before 4/20
Schedule: Unit scheduling; minimum every other weekend and schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
Call: None
Holidays: Required per unit needs

About the Role
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a travel contract job in Plattsburgh, New York. This is a high-acuity environment seeking nurses who are comfortable with fast-paced ER workflows, strong triage and critical care skills, and the flexibility that comes with travel nursing. Prior travel experience and leadership exposure are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of patient acuity levels
• Perform triage, assessments, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
• Support charge responsibilities as needed and assist with unit flow

Requirements
• Prior travel experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience
• AHA BLS required
• AHA ACLS required
• AHA PALS required
• NIHSS required prior to start
• TNCC required (active or proof of scheduled class required in submission packet)
• Required: New York license, or willingness to obtain (proof of application with applied date required at submission; NY licensing may take 6–8 weeks)
• Epic experience within the past 2 years required and nonnegotiable
• All employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history required for submission (bed size, EMR, facility type, etc.)
• Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not accessible
• Vehicle should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November–April
• No block scheduling permitted
