Registered Nurse ICU Mixed Acuity PCU units are mixed acuity and will include intermediate care patients, as well as non-vented ICU level patients Required License, National Certification: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Skills required: Experience with managing patients on bipap/cpap, cardiac rhythm interpretation, CVP monitoring, monitoring hemodynamic lines, post-surgical drains, trachs, chest tubes Titratable drips including (but not limited to): Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Esmolol, Insulin, Cardene, Nitro, Levophed, and Epinephrine Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Neurological and post procedural patients-Post TNK, Neuro IR procedures (Embolization’s, angiography) hemorrhages/aneurysms, burr holes, post VP shunt placements, post craniotomy/craniectomy, lumbar drains, spinal cord injuries, any non-vented neuro patients including EVDs, continuous EEG, & neuro/spine surgery Respiratory Failure, CHF, Hypotension, Sepsis, AMS, Acute Neurological Diagnosis, DKA, Electrolyte abnormality RN: 1:3 based on acuity
