Registered Nurse – Med Surg / Telemetry (Night Shift)

Position Overview

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 12-hour night shift assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry skills, be comfortable floating to like units and overflow areas, and successfully pass required competency testing prior to start.

Schedule

• 12-Hour Night Shift
• Weekends and holidays required
• Orientation is biweekly
• Nurse Manager will interview and extend offers

Minimum Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse License
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
• Must be able to pass Telemetry Competency Exam
• Current BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA) – Required
• Documented professional developmental activities
• Knowledge of Critical Paths
• Charge Nurse experience – Preferred

Mandatory Testing Requirements

PASS/FAIL – One Attempt Only

• ECG/Telemetry Test
• Medication Administration Test
• Administered by CCH via Zoom Protector meeting prior to assignment
• Must test within 48 hours of offer
• Passing score: 85%
• No remediation or retesting permitted

Strongly encouraged to prepare using the client-provided Study Guide (includes tips and answers).

Floating Expectations

• Expected to float to like units
• May float to overflow areas
