Description
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Charge Nurse) for our Skilled Nursing (SNF) / Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This role supports the Director in achieving departmental goals and provides leadership as a Charge Nurse, quality management coordinator, and unit resource. The Charge Nurse also provides administrative backup support in the Director’s absence.
The RN is responsible for coordinating and directing total nursing care for an assigned group of residents/patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role includes patient/resident and family education and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members. The RN is directly accountable to the Director of Nursing (D.O.N.) or designee and must maintain strict patient/resident privacy and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- License: Active State of Maine or Compact RN License
- Certification: Current BLS required
- Skills: Leadership experience, strong assessment and care coordination skills, ability to supervise and support nursing staff
