Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 15 Weeks
Shift: Days – 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
Hours: No guarantee of hours
EMR System: EPIC

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a contract assignment in Hawaii. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department that values teamwork, efficiency, and quality patient care.

The Emergency Department includes:

  • 28 total beds
  • 4 trauma bays
  • 2 behavioral health rooms
  • 22 cardiac monitor rooms

This unit has a fast patient turnover and requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
  • Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
  • Assist in trauma cases and emergency procedures
  • Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Schedule Requirements

  • Day shifts
  • 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly)
  • No guaranteed hours
  • Holiday coverage may be required

Qualifications

  • Active Hawaii RN license (must be obtained prior to start of assignment)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
  • Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Preferred Certifications:

  • Procedural Sedation
  • TNCC
  • ENPC

Additional Information

  • Candidates must arrive the Thursday prior to start date for employee health clearance on Friday.
  • Must be able to meet all onboarding and compliance requirements before assignment begins.
