Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a night shift contract assignment in Hawaii. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and values teamwork and efficiency.

The Emergency Department features:

• 28 beds
• 4 trauma bays
• 2 behavioral health rooms
• 22 cardiac monitor rooms

This unit has rapid patient turnover and requires strong clinical skills and the ability to prioritize care effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Perform rapid triage and ongoing patient assessments
• Assist with trauma and emergency procedures
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Accurately document care in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members

Schedule Requirements

• Night shifts
• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly) following orientation
• No guaranteed hours
• Holiday coverage may be required

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license (required prior to start of assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume setting

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Additional Information

• Candidates must arrive the Thursday prior to the start date to attend employee health clearance on Friday.
• Must meet all onboarding and compliance requirements before beginning assignment.
