Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a night shift contract opportunity in Hawaii. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity, team-oriented emergency department environment.

The Emergency Department includes:

• 28 beds
• 4 trauma bays
• 2 behavioral health rooms
• 22 cardiac monitor rooms

The unit experiences high patient turnover and requires strong prioritization and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of varying acuity levels
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and emergency interventions
• Assist in trauma and critical care situations
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Schedule Requirements

• Night shifts
• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly) following orientation
• No guaranteed hours
• Holiday coverage may be required

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license (must be obtained prior to assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Strong clinical judgment, multitasking ability, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume emergency setting

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Additional Information

• Candidates must arrive the Thursday prior to start date for employee health clearance on Friday.
• All onboarding and compliance requirements must be completed prior to assignment
