Position Overview:

  • Deliver tailored academic instruction to students in grades 6–10, ranging from small-group support for learning disabilities to 1:1 intervention in self-contained or life-skills settings.
  • Manage student caseloads and maintain accurate documentation of services, track student progress toward IEP goals, and ensure all regulatory compliance standards are met.
  • Adapt and teach middle and high school core subject matter while collaborating closely with the Special Education team and paraprofessionals to maintain an inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement effective classroom management and instructional strategies for students with diverse cognitive or behavioral challenges.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Valid Texas Special Education Certification for Grades 6-12
  • Valid Texas Content Area / Generalist Certification for Grades 6+
  • Valid Texas Fingerprint Clearance Card
