Position Overview:

  • Lead a self-contained, cross-categorical classroom specifically for middle school students.
  • Manage a focused caseload of 13 students, allowing for high-quality, individualized attention.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), utilizing formative and summative assessments to track progress and inform instructional adjustments.
  • Partner with families, administrators, and service providers to communicate progress and ensure comprehensive support across school and home environments.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement (Required)
  • Active Illinois Math Certification (Required)
  • Prior experience planning and implementing engaging instruction within a self-contained, cross-categorical classroom setting, preferably at the middle school level
