Position Overview:
- Lead classroom instruction for 7th or 8th Grade Multi-Subject classrooms, or High School Science, depending on your expertise and certification.
- Assess and identify student needs to create and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), implementing modifications that ensure students with diverse learning needs meet rigorous academic standards.
- Partner with general education teachers, families, and students to track progress and ensure a cohesive, high-achieving learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Valid New York State Teaching Certificate in Special Education (Required)
- 3+ years of experience in special education with a background in managing middle or high school classrooms (Preferred)
