Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: ICU Registered Nurse
  • Shift: See shift details (not specified)
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: Alternating weekends
  • Call Requirements: As needed; must be within 30 minutes of the hospital when on call
  • Float Requirements: May be required to float to Medsurg, ER, etc.
  • Patient Population: All ages
  • Unit Beds: 6
  • Patient Ratios: 2:1
  • EHR System: Medhost Clinicals

Required Qualifications

  • License: Registered Nurse license valid in New Mexico
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS (must have at submission; certifications are not available onsite)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience (higher value between 1+ and 2+ years)
  • Skills:
    • Ventilator management
    • Titrating continuous medications
    • Managing ICU patients

Additional Information

  • Facility: 47-bed acute care facility with approximately 300 healthcare employees
  • Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
  • State Requirement: All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed. Travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while waiting on results but must be supervised.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; casual wear is unacceptable
  • Personality Fit: Professional demeanor required
