Travel Infusion RN – Oncology (Chemo Certified)
Orange, CA
MAGNET Acute Care Hospital
Duration: 13 Weeks
Charting: Epic
First-Time Travelers: Accepted (ONLY with Chemo Cert + 2+ years experience)
Shift & Schedule
Day Shift – 4x10s (07:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Monday–Friday | Wednesday OFF
No Weekends
No On-Call
Block Scheduling: Available (Manager approval)
Unit Overview
This high-volume infusion center treats approximately 85 patients/day across 50 infusion rooms.
- 70% Oncology-based therapy
- 30% Blood transfusions, IVIG, hydration, and iron infusions
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Interdisciplinary support: Pharmacy, Social Services, Unit Secretary
Required Qualifications (HARD STOP)
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification
BLS Certification
1+ year RN experience (2+ years strongly preferred)
Epic experience required
Chemo infusion experience REQUIRED
Pending license NOT accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapy
- Monitor for chemo side effects and abnormal lab values
- Manage continuous chemo infusions and IV push chemo
- Perform safe cytotoxic drug handling and spill management
- Follow neutropenic and isolation precautions
- Access and manage ports and IV therapy
- Provide blood transfusions, IVIG, hydration, and iron infusions
- Deliver compassionate oncology-focused patient care
