Pride Health is hiring a Medical Technologist I to support our client’s medical facility, based in Tulsa, OK 74133

Title: Medical Technologist (Generalist)
Location: Tulsa, OK 74133
Schedule: Nights 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM Saturday - Wednesday (40hrs/week)
Pay Range: $27.17 - $40.76 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain procedures for the collection, processing, and analysis of biological specimens and other substances.
- Perform and report complex analytical testing; correlate and interpret data across multiple clinical laboratory departments while resolving discrepancies.
- Review and confirm abnormal results; apply quality control procedures, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective solutions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory equipment and coordinate appropriate repair services as needed.
- Contribute to laboratory objectives by promoting teamwork, delivering service excellence, adhering to policies and regulatory guidelines, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to medical laboratory science students during educational laboratory activities.
- Exercise independent judgment in planning workflow, prioritizing tasks, and making technical decisions within a complex clinical environment.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, internal and external customers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams through in-person and telephone communication.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of laboratory experience performing high-complexity testing.
- Proficiency in computer systems and laboratory information systems.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, particularly in the review and interpretation of clinical and numerical data.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related biological or chemical science from an accredited college or university.
Certifications & Licensure:
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through ASCP or AMT.
- Must have successfully passed a nationally accredited laboratory science certification exam.
