Description

Job Title: Travel MRI Technician
Location: Morristown, NJ 07960
Schedule: 40 hours/week (5x8s)

Shift Schedule:

Monday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Thursday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Compensation:

Gross Weekly Pay: $2,801
Weekly Stipend: $1,561
W2 Hourly Rate: $31/hour (taxable)

Key Responsibilities:

Position patients appropriately on the MRI examination table and select/place the specified coil (e.g., head coil, knee coil) according to radiologist protocols
Explain MRI procedures and demonstrate use of two-way communication microphone system
Enter and verify patient history, anatomical area, scan orientation, and positioning data into MRI system
Program scan sequences and adjust transmitters/receivers as required
Monitor patient safety and comfort from control room and via closed-circuit TV
Review images to ensure quality and diagnostic accuracy
Capture and process diagnostic images as required
Ensure MRI safety standards are followed and alert staff regarding metal safety precautions
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1–3 years of recent experience as an MRI Technician
Experience with GE MRI systems required

Education & Certifications:

Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Program
NJ State Radiologic Technologist (RT) License
MR Certification
BLS Certification (AHA required)
