Description
Job Title: Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
Location: La Mesa, CA
Job Category: Clinical – Allied – Travel
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift: 8-Hour Day Shifts
Equipment
- Siemens Symbia INTEVO
- Siemens Symbia EVO camera
Work Schedule
- Variable weekday shifts (M–F):
- 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Every other weekend: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- On-Call: As needed
- 45-minute response time
- If a radiopharmaceutical dose is required, technologist contacts pharmacy from home and arrives when dose is expected (typically 1–1.5 hours)
Daily Volume
- Typical day: 4–6 exams
- Busy day: 7–8 studies
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology/Nuclear Medicine.
Education
- Successful completion of a formal training program in an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology school meeting California and/or federal certification requirements (or equivalent).
Licensure & Certifications (Required)
- AHA BLS – Healthcare Provider
- California Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) License
- ARRT (N) OR NMTCB (CNMT) Certification
- ARRT (CT) OR NMTCB (CT) Certification
